The richness of Indian music goes back to the ancient and medieval period of history where some of the music greats like Tansen and Amir Khusro  etc  gave a new shape to music. It is believed that when Tansen  used to sing it would start to rain. If one has to give the names of Indian legends,  he  cannot  be ignored in that list.  During ancient and medieval times the kings used to give utter importance to music and they used to enjoy it thoroughly. Since then music has taken a central seat in the field of art.

LATA  MANGESHKAR

Lata Mangeshkar, popularly known as the “ Nightingale of India” is one of the most prominent  female singers that India has produced till date. Even today in her late 80’s she continues to sing like she used to sing during her younger days. Her sister Asha  Bhonsle is also a very versatile singer of  India. She holds the world record of singing more than 12000 songs in almost all the Indian languages. Lata Mangeshkar's name doesn't miss the  talk, whenever India's best singers' names are discussed.

Mohd.RAFI

KISHORE  KUMAR
Mohd.Rafi  and Kishore Kumar , both were the two leading male playback singers of what we call-“THE GOLDEN ERA OF INDIAN MUSIC” .They sang various electrifying songs which are hugely admired not only by older generations, but also younger generations. The demise of both of these legendary male playback singers of  India have created a void in the Indian music,  which cannot be filled by anyone.
